What came through was joy. Ringo and the band having a good time and happy to be playing and entertaining.
Ringo was featured, as he performed every song he ever sang with The Beatles and songs from his solo career. After the first three songs (Matchbox, It Don’t Come Easy, and What Goes On), the band cycled around featuring each musician leading the band as they performed some of the best known songs associated with their respective careers.
It was quite a surprise to see and hear great versions of I Saw The Light, Evil Ways, Rosanna, and Broken Wings. Oye Como Va? Yeah! Ringo was the relaxed host, congenial and funny. The band was having a blast, and their happiness and interactivity had the audience feeling it. The two hour set ended with “A Little Help From My Friends” and a coda of “Give Peace A Chance”. A splendid time was had by all.
